Shipping policy

1. Order Processing Time

  • All orders are processed and prepared for shipment within 3 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in South Africa) from the date of purchase.
  • Orders placed after 3PM on a business day, or on weekends/public holidays, will begin processing on the next business day.
  • During peak seasons or promotional periods, processing times may be slightly extended. We will communicate any significant delays on our website or via email.

2. Shipping Rates & Delivery Estimates

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated based on your delivery location.

  • Please note: These are estimated delivery times and are not guaranteed. Delays can occur due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather, courier service disruptions, or high parcel volumes.

3. Shipping Methods

  • For deliveries within the Khayelitsha community and within a 40km radius outside Khayelitsha, we use our dedicated local delivery service.
  • For deliveries beyond the 40km radius, we partner with Paxi Services (for parcel point collection) and The Courier Guy (for door-to-door delivery) to ensure nationwide coverage. You will be able to select your preferred option at checkout.

4. Local Pickup 

  • If you select local pickup at checkout, you will receive an email notification when your order is ready for collection, typically within [Number] business days.

5. Shipping Destinations

  • We currently ship orders nationwide within South Africa.

6. Order Tracking

  • Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number(s).
  • For orders shipped via Paxi or The Courier Guy, you can track the status of your shipment by clicking on the tracking link provided in the email or by visiting the respective courier's website and entering your tracking number.

7. Shipping Address Changes

  • If you need to change your shipping address after placing an order, please contact us immediately call us at [067 053 4350].
  • We will do our best to accommodate your request, but please note that we cannot guarantee changes once the order has been processed or shipped. Any changes made after shipment may incur additional fees.

8. Damaged or Lost Orders

  • For Local Deliveries (within 40km radius): If your order is damaged upon arrival or lost, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery or estimated delivery date. We will resolve the issue directly.
  • For Orders Shipped via Paxi or The Courier Guy: While we ensure that all items are securely packed and handed over to our courier partners in perfect condition, Maroro does not take responsibility for any damages or losses that occur while the parcel is in transit with Paxi Services or The Courier Guy. In such unfortunate events, the responsibility for the parcel lies with the respective courier service.
    • We advise customers to inspect their parcel upon receipt before signing for it. If you notice significant damage to the packaging, you may choose to refuse the delivery or make a note of the damage with the courier.
    • For any claims regarding damaged or lost items shipped via Paxi or The Courier Guy, customers will need to contact the courier service directly to file a claim. We will provide you with all necessary shipping documentation to assist you in this process.

9. Customs, Duties, and Taxes

  • We are currently only shipping within South Africa.
